RONALD D. SOWLE
July 25, 1940 - July 21, 2010

Ronald D. Sowle, 69, of Hudson passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian, Michigan. He was born on July 25, 1940, the son of Alfred and Ruth (Gottschalk) Sowle.
Ron graduated from Coldwater High School Class of 1958 and was a retired Rodeo Cowboy. He was a Gold Card member of the International Professional Rodeo Association and the Mid-States Rodeo Association, winning multiple event and All Around titles in the rough stock riding events. He also participated in the Michigan Team Penning Association and enjoyed trail riding with his friends. Ron dearly loved his children, grandchildren and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving Ron are his parents, Alfred (Ruth) Sowle of Coldwater, Michigan; his significant other, Shelly Bowen of Quincy, Michigan; four children, Scott Sowle of Seattle, Washington, Gregg Grubb of Haslett, Michigan, Jim (Donna) Sowle of Frisco, Texas and Pam (Kevin) Nash of Elsie, Michigan, seven grandchildren, Heather, Thomas, Candace, Forrest, Jessica, Josie and Jolene; one twin brother, Donald (Doris) Sowle of Bronson, Michigan.
Funeral services for Ron will be Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Charles VanKeuren officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from noon until the time of service.



Brenda "Tootie" Moore
January 7, 1945 ~ June 5, 2010
Tootie Moore, 65, of Union Grove, NC, formerly of the Rockin K Ranch in Chartlotte, NC, died June 5, 2010.  She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.  She was a lifetime member of the Southern Rodeo Association and a gold card member of the International Pro Rodeo Association.  She worked as a rodeo secretary.  She was selected multiple times by the IPRA Board of Directors to time the International Finals Rodeo.  She owned the business"A Touch of Silver".  She loved to travel with Adrian to rodeos.  Most of all, she loved her family.  She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and daughter.  She spent all her time taking care of her family in a variety of ways - from cooking to doing any needed tasks.  She spent alot of time caring for her mother Hilda Morris.  Survivors include her husband Adrian Moore, son IPRA Stock Contractor and contestant Chet Kidd and wife Beth; daughters, Jami Kidd Thompson and partner Lisa Tucker, Amie Kidd Carroll and husband Ron; step-daughters, Stacey White and Rhonda Moore; sister Traci Morris; grandchildren Travis Baucom, Carson and Cameron Thompson, IPRA Team Roper and former IFR qualifier Cory Kidd and Tyler Kidd, Chance and Chloe Carroll, Kacie and Emily White.

Heather Wilf
July 30, 1980 ~ June 3, 2010
Heather Wilf, 29, of Lonoke, AR died Thursday, June 3, 2010 in Little Rock, AR.  She received her Bachelors Degree in Ag Business from ASU in 2004.  She was a member of the Searcy Church of the Nazarene and had been involved in rodeo, chuckwagon racing and team roping since she was a child and was employed by the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture as an Entomology Associate,  She and finance, Rob Gann owned and operated Bar V Rodeo Company.

A memorial has been set up in Heather's name in the Department of Entomology at the University of Arkansas.

Buddy Kidd ~ Charlotte, NC

Buddy passed away June 1, 2010.
Buddy's son Chet Kidd is an IPRA Stock Contractor and competes in IPRA rodeos, grandson Cory Kidd is an IPRA team roper.  When looking at the IPRA membership list the majority of Buddy's family is either a current or past IPRA member.  The Kidd family owns Rockin K Arena in Charlotte, NC where many rodeos have been held over the years. Buddy was a former IPRA member.
