NATE BAILEY
PROFESSIONAL RODEO PHOTOGRAPHER
IPRA rodeo photographer Nate Bailey has been around rodeo all of his life. Growing up watching his father and uncle ride bareback horses and bulls, Nate learned to appreciate the action in the rodeo arena at an early age. Climbing aboard his first calf when he was10, Nate eventually graduated on to steers and bulls.
It was during his bull riding career that he noticed there were no photographers working the rodeos he competed at and that got the wheels turning. Retiring from bull riding in the early 80’s, Nate started his photography career.
A full-time employee of American Airlines in Tulsa, OK, Nate and his wife of 25 years, find themselves on the road on the weekends traveling to rodeos across the country. Nate loves working with the cowboys and cowgirls and capturing them in action.
Nate has two children, a daughter that is a teacher and a son that is attending Oklahoma State University.
