Big Hat Championship Series
The Big Hat Championship Series is back! Owner Rudy Calzavara is delighted to announce that details for the 2009 contestant incentive awards have been finalized. There are nine participating rodeos. They are:
July 3-4 Galena, IL (3rd is Tough Enough to Wear Pink night)
July 8 Ottawa, IL July 18 St. Charles, IL July 24-25 Elkhorn, WI (Tough Enough to Wear Pink)
July 31 Oregon, IL August 1 Yorkville, IL Aug 6 Milledgeville, IL
Aug 15 Belvidere, IL Sept 12 Belvidere, IL (Series Finale)
The Galena, IL & St. Charles, IL rodeos will award a $100.00 cash bonus to the winner of each event. All remaining rodeos will award a $50 cash bonus to each event winner. At each rodeo the winner of the Bull Riding will receive a great merchandise gift. The CBR winner at Galena & Elkhorn will also receive a jewelry award specifically designed for the TETWP rodeos. (totally different from 2008)
Yorkville, IL *UPDATE*
Performance starts at 8:30 pm
All event winners at Yorkville, IL will receive an additional $100 cash bonus (Headers & Heelers)
All Big Hat Series points will be DOUBLED at Yorkville, IL
EVERYONE WHO COMPETES AT YORKVILLE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE ENTERED IN A DRAWING FOR $100 CASH!!

To qualify for awards you must be a member of the IPRA/CSRA and compete in a minimum of 6 rodeos, (except Team Roping) where you must compete in a minimum of 5 rodeos. Points will be awarded as follows at each rodeo.
1st place: 500 points 2nd place: 400 points
3rd place: 300 points 4th place: 200 points
5th place: 100 points 6th place: 50 points
A Competition bonus of 100 points will be awarded for each rodeo you compete in.
Standings will be posted at each rodeo and will also be listed on the Big Hat Rodeo website (www.bighatrodeo.com) & the IPRA and CSRA websites.
